WHY DONATE YOUR 5x1000

Presence in the territory

We will build a large community to
realize the dreams of many people with
disabilities. We will be increasingly
present where our
children and their families
live.

SAFETY AND AWARENESS

In collaboration with DAN Europe, we will fund the training and certification of new safety professionals and offer DAN Provider courses to students with disabilities. We will also include specific DAN modules in our courses at all levels.

RESEARCH AND NEW SCIENTIFIC ACHIEVEMENTS

We will begin data collection in the world of disability and diving. We will involve diving professionals in data collection for scientific use, training them and validating their work with countless publications.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL

We will promote scuba diving in rehabilitation centers and disability associations, making it an available and accessible opportunity for all types of physical, sensory, and intellectual disabilities. We will spread a new inclusive culture through contexts of integration and community. We will demonstrate that people’s true limitations are not their disability, but their level of preparation and the skills acquired during training programs.

FAQ ABOUT 5x1000

The 5×1000 (five-per-thousand) tax is a unique financing system for the nonprofit sector that draws resources from personal income tax (IRPEF).
The 5×1000 system was introduced on a trial basis by the 2006 Finance Law and has been in place for several years now. Any individual who is liable for IRPEF can choose to allocate part of their tax (5×100 of their IRPEF) to support specific nonprofit organizations or specific goals, such as scientific, university, and healthcare research.

The funds can be allocated simply by signing and indicating the tax code of the organization to which they wish to donate the funds in the appropriate sections of their tax return.

The 5×1000 can be allocated by all citizens who submit their income tax return using the Modello 730, the Modello Redditi Persone Fisiche (formerly Unico), and the Certification Model (formerly CUD). Within each form there is the section “Form for choosing the allocation of the 5×1000 of IRPEF”. To allocate the 5×1000 to Diverse Ability, simply locate the first box at the top left titled “Support for Third Sector Entities…”, sign in the designated space and then enter the tax code of Diverse Ability: 94632540152.
Allocating the 5×1000 to an organization or association does not involve any cost for the individual citizen because it is a portion of IRPEF and therefore does not represent an additional expense. It is important to remember that this amount is withheld by the State anyway; however, by consciously allocating the 5×1000, the citizen makes a donation at no cost and without any tax burden. There is therefore no increase in the taxes to be paid, but only the right to choose who will receive the 5×1000 and thus decide whom to support with that amount.
No, the three choices are in no way alternatives to each other. The 5×1000 does not replace, but is added to, the 8×1000 and the 2×1000 systems, which remain in force. They are three different options that the State offers citizens to support very different areas: the State itself and religious denominations (8×1000), associations and research institutions (5×1000). Finally, it is possible to allocate the 2×1000 to a political party. THEREFORE, ALL THREE CHOICES CAN BE MADE.
Yes: simply submit the supplementary 5×1000 form contained in the CU, in a sealed envelope, to a bank or post office. The envelope must be marked “choice for the allocation of the 5×1000 of IRPEF” and include the taxpayer’s first name, last name, and tax code.
If the tax code of the organization to which you wish to allocate your 5×1000 is not indicated, the sums will be distributed proportionally based on the number of preferences received from associations belonging to the same category.
Donations collected through the 5×1000 are paid to the association anonymously in a single disbursement by the State, which, for privacy reasons, does not disclose the details of the individuals who express their preference for Diverse Ability.
The deadline for submitting both the ordinary Modello 730 and the simplified (or pre-filled) Modello 730 is set for 30/09/2024.
For the Modello Redditi Persone Fisiche (formerly Unico)

  • from 02/05/2024 to 01/07/2024 if submitted in paper form through a post office.

The electronic submission of the Certificazione Unica (CU) 2024 for employment income to the Italian Revenue Agency must be completed by 18/03/2024, and the same deadline applies to employers for delivering the CU to employees.
